London, 11 June 2008 - Baker & McKenzie, London has advised Siemens Energy on the sale of its Napier Turbocharger business to Primary Capital, a private equity investment firm which finances management buy-outs, for an undisclosed sum.
Siemens Energy is one of the world's leading suppliers of products and services for the generation, transmission and distribution of power and for the extraction, conversion and transport of oil and gas.
The Napier business is based in Lincoln and is engaged in the design, manufacture and service of turbochargers used in engines for marine, power generation and rail traction applications.
Commenting on the sale, Gordon Low, Corporate partner at Baker & McKenzie, said: ''Baker & McKenzie works with Siemens in the US, UK and in Germany, and we were pleased to have acted on this sale, the first UK corporate transaction for Siemens on which we have advised.''
