Warsaw, 21 May 2008 - Baker & McKenzie’s Poland office was ranked by Chambers and Partners as one of Europe’s leading law firms, gaining recognition in five key areas of law: Intellectual Property, Life Sciences, Tax, TMT and a recently added category, Construction.

Chambers and Partners, a prestigious researcher of the global legal services market, interviewed Europe’s largest firms and corporations for their evaluation of 100 law firms for key competencies in 14 practices.

Baker & McKenzie’s expertise was recognized with the following citations:

- The top IP practice award and outstanding individual expertise award for the practice leader, attorney Marek Rosiński, who is currently the firm's Managing Partner and leads its IP and TMT practices. Berenika Depo was also individually recognized. Clients appreciate the lawyers in this practice for their ability to “balance the legal risks with business needs”.

- The top Life Sciences practice award and outstanding individual expertise award for Paulina Kieszkowska-Knapik. Attorney Agnieszka Mielczarek was also recognized in this area of law. For many years now, clients have regarded Baker & McKenzie’s Life Sciences practice as the leader in the sector.

- The top Tax practice award for the group led by attorneys Sławomir Boruc and Jerzy Martini, who were also recognized for their outstanding individual expertise.
