Seasonal Clerkships & Graduate Programs

Seasonal Clerkship programs are open to all students eligible to work in Australia who are currently undertaking their penultimate year of study.

The Sydney Summer Clerkship Program is conducted annually over a 12 week period. Two rotations, based on your preference, give you the opportunity to work in two distinct practice groups. Our aim is for all Summer Clerks to be offered graduate positions at the end of the clerkship.

There are two Melbourne Seasonal Clerkship Programs, each of four weeks duration, scheduled in July and December of each year. Seasonal clerks are allocated a home practice group, but our clerks receive a range of work in different areas. Many of our seasonal clerks go on to undertake their Articled Clerkship with Baker & McKenzie the following year.

Articled Clerkships
The Melbourne Articled Clerkship Program gives graduates exposure to more practice areas and industry sectors, so graduates can gain experience in Litigation, Commercial Real Estate and Corporate Law. The 12-month program is structured around four rotations, each three months in duration, helping graduates to forge a specialist career direction.
